Yoga program

Our retreat offers range of daily yoga activities that will help you elevate your yoga practice including philosophy of Yoga Sutras, pranayama, meditation, yoga lab classes etc.

Weekly retreat program (from Tuesday to Sunday, arrival and meeting on Mondays) includes various yoga courses such as morning Ashtanga practice (mysore, led beginners or beginners intro), pranayama, meditation, yoga lab classes, and more.

Weekly courses

  • Week 1: Astanga Mysore, Astanga Led beginners, Astanga Beginners introductory course, Pilates*, Yoga Sutras and Philosophy with Måns Broo, Pilates*, Yoga Teens, and Yoga Kids.
  • Week 2: Astanga Mysore, Astanga Led beginners, Astanga Beginners introductory course, Meditation with Healing Bodywork by Tamara, Yinyoga with Tibetan singing bowls*, Yoga Teens, and Yoga Kids.
  • Week 3: Astanga Mysore, Astanga Led beginners, Yoga sutra & Mantra chanting with Juha, Mindfulness*, Yoga Teens, and Yoga Kids.

Courses overview and daily schedules

Our summer yoga retreat offers something for everyone! We have led classes for beginners and mysore practice for more experienced Astanga practitioners. We also have classes for kids and teens, as well as general yoga classes including philosophy, pranayama, and meditation. The retreat is international, and teaching and meetings are primarily conducted in English.

Arrival

Your retreat week starts with an arrival on Monday afternoon between 15:00-19:30, followed by dinner from 18:00-19:30.

The opening meeting of the week will take place on Monday evening from 19:15-20:15, where you will have an introduction to the retreat place, program and services.

    • Meditation with Healing Bodywork combining Buddhist meditation with healing techniques from Finnish Energy Healing by Tamara Ashley (included in weekly program).
      Mind centering and Tibetan massage all aimed at promoting well being and balance through the natural elements of the body-mind. Class includes optional hands on bodywork with partners. Bring a blanket & yoga mat.
    • Yinyoga and Tibetan Singing Bowls with Malina Pursiainen
      (* additional workshop, 4 classes)

    • Yoga sutra and Mantra chanting with Juha Javanainen (included in weekly program)
    • Art work combined with meditations / Tuuli Olkkonen

    • Mindfulness* with Marke Murtomäki, 3 classes, additional workshop (teaching in Finnish)

Retreat Karma Yoga

  • We will make the Retreat together: we will keep the Yoga Shala and Dining hall and our private rooms clean by ourselves
    • this will be Karma Yoga e.g. Yoga of work for each others, which is part of the Retreat program
