TRAVEL

Houtskär is 100 km from Turku, the main city of South-West Finland. On the way there is three ferry routes Parainen-Nauvo, Nauvo-Korppoo and Korppoo (Galtby) – Houtskri (Kittuis) through beautiful archipelago landscape. Usually the sea is quite windy, so have your jacket on to enjoy the views.

KORPPOO-HOUTSKARI FERRY schedule

There is three busses daily from Turku bus station to Houtskari (departures 9:10, 12:55 and 16:10). If you travel from Helsinki, you might step out at Turku Cathedral stop to catch the Korppoo/Houtskari bus. Check the ”Saaristobussi” lines 902-904. There might be a bus change at Korppoo ferry harbour (Galtby), or you may have to walk to ferry and take the bus 904 at Hourskari port Kittuis.

Bus schedule from Helsinki-Kamppi terminal to Turku to catch bus from Turku to Houtskari:

– 6:25 Helsinki – 8:54 Turku bus station
9:10 Turku bus station – 12:15 Näsby, Houtskari

– 10:40 Helsinki – 12:50 Turku Cathedral bus stop (walk to the other side of the main road)
13:00 Turku Cathedral bus stop – 16:00 Näsby, Houtskari

– 14:15 Helsinki – 16:10 Turku Cathedral bus stop (walk to the other side of the main road)
16:15 Turku Cathedral bus stop – 19:35 Näsby, Houtskari
Note: this is very tight schedule to catch the bus 903 to Houtskari.
Earlier bus 13:40 Helsinki – 16:05 Turku Cathedral bus stop gives you a bit more time to change bus.
